Format
Blitz: 4SS G/5+2. One section. Pairing numbers are determined by USCF rating as usual. Scores are multiplied by 3 for weighting purposes in the Championship.
Rapid: 3SS G/15+2. Pairing numbers are assigned by the scores from the Blitz portion, including tie breaks. This is a deviation from USCF Rule 28A. Scores from the Blitz portion are used as the starting score for the Rapid portion. Scores for the Rapid portion are multiplied by 4 for weighting purposes and added to the players’ Blitz scores.
Dual: 2SS G/25+5. Pairing numbers are assigned by the scores from the Blitz and Rapid portions, including tie breaks. This is a deviation from USCF Rule 28A. Scores from the Blitz and Rapid portions are used as the starting score for the Dual portion. Scores for the Dual portion are multiplied by 6 for weighting purposes and added to the players’ Blitz and Rapid scores.
Armageddon: In the case of a tie for 1st place overall, the Champion will be decided by a single Armageddon game. If more than 2 players are tied for 1st place, tie breaks from all portions will be added together to determine the top 2 players and they will play in the Armageddon playoff. White starts with 10 minutes, no delay or increment. The two players will place secret bids for black in the form of minutes and seconds. The lowest of the two bids will play as black and will start with the amount of time they bid. In the event of a draw, black wins.
